Following the Legislative Decree 9.1.99 n.1 "National reorganization of the corporations and the societies of promotion and institution of "Sviluppo Italia", according to the sections 11 and 14 L.15.3.97 n.59", SVILUPPO ITALIA TOSCANA SCPA (SVIT) belongs to Sviluppo Italia.
SVIT is managing “Misura 1.8”, a programme aiming at supporting SMEs’ precompetitive research projects at regional level. SVIT co-operates since 2002 with D’Appolonia, jointly acting as “organo intermedio” on behalf of the Tuscany region for the technical, administrative and financial management of “Misura 1.8”. Within this framework, SVIT is managerially responsible for the design of the call for proposals, support to the proposers, eligibility check of the proposals, administrative processing , financial assessment and auditing along the duration of the projects.
SVIT has to act as a bridge to the national policy level. Provisions have to taken that SVIT will act as the EraSME gateway and organise the communication with the national government.
SVILUPPO ITALIA TOSCANA SCPA is also part of the BIC (Business Innovation Centre), CISI (Integrated Centres for Business Development) and SVI networks (Society of Industrial Development), promoted in Italy by SPI (Society for Industrial Promotion), Finance company of the IRI Group.
